Business against Poverty (BaP) is a local community of business people who care about the issues of poverty and ethical standards. They are taking action through their charity People against Poverty, based in Trowbridge.

This month we put the spotlight on new member La La Piano Bar who recently hosted a glamorous fundraiser for the charity in the heart of London’s Soho.

La La Piano Bar dedicated their annual charity fundraiser to People against Poverty and on November 27 2016, some great West End and celebrity singers came together to offer a unique night of entertainment in the fabulous Groucho Club.

La La Piano Bar is a pop-up piano bar hosted by David Roper from 4 Poofs and a Piano and the voluptuous Lady La La.  They brought together a fantastic line-up including the international cabaret sensation Miss Hope Springs, 4 Poofs and a Piano and a host of other talented singers. It was a night full of love with top class performers lighting this famous west end venue.

The event raised £1,100 and Business against Poverty is proud to have La La Piano Bar as a silver partner/member. Bill Huxley founder of Business against Poverty said: “The La La team put lots of effort to ensure their fundraiser was a resounding success and we look forward to working with them again this year.”

La La Piano Bar delivers a unique blend of music, humour and audience participation. The event is an experiential show based on ‘New York piano bar meets Berlin’s cabaret clubs’ with vocal indulgence from some amazing singers with inclusive sing-alongs and audience request, and appeals to all ages. As a pop-up model they can travel anywhere, and can tailor their entertainment for various occasions such as public events, charity gigs, private parties or corporate award ceremonies. La La Piano Bar has taken it’s magic up and down the country from Leeds to Manchester, Brighton and then on to Barcelona in March 2017 to a large international corporate show.

They promise to set up as a glamorous piano bar lounge at any venue and bring the whole West End experience right to your event. They also tailor the packages to suit any budget and can offer just the entertainment element or the whole event management.

Some of the packages they offer are:

Weddings: – Some Hollywood stars are getting into sing-alongs at their lavish wedding parties. Programmes are tailored to the specific taste of the bride and groom.

Birthday parties: – Is your big 30, 40, 50, 60 coming up? People are always looking for something new to WOW their guests. La La is unique, energetic and gets your party singing all night long!

Corporate events: – This is a great way to give a different experience at a corporate event. With delegates or guests involved and having fun with sing-alongs and games it is bound to make the event memorable and inclusive.

Staff parties: – a memorable party to spice up any staff do’s such as Christmas or summer events or Staff awards.
